Chinese Brush Painting One-Day Classes

Please see below for some of our upcoming one-day classes! Our regular 6-week series classes will begin again in in fall.

Special Bamboo All-Day Class

Stephen Boone is teaching the art of painting bamboo in the Chinese style on Saturday July 11. Class time is 10:00 am-4:00 pm with a break for lunch. The cost of the session is $50.00 plus material rental or purchase, as needed. The class will be held in Studio Boone at the Emerson room 230. The class will cover materials, brush handling, balance, depth using contrast in color, strength in line work, rhythm, and use of space. This class is suitable for beginning and advanced students. New! Six 1-hour personal calligraphy classes scheduled at a mutually convenient time for $90.

Or take just one class for $15.

I will start with proper posture and brush holding and progress to the creation of characters. Requests accomodated if possible.
 
The cost of an all day session is $50.00 plus materials fee of $5 if you do not have your own equipment. Reserve your space in any class with a phone call (587-0925) and a check for $30.00 payable to Studio Boone. Send the payment to P.O. Box 1732 Bozeman, MT 59771. See below for a registration form. Please be sure to specify which (or both!) classes you are interested in. The balance of the class fee is payable on the day of the class. Classes are FULL at four students.
